Pool time. In my new suit and cover up. When we got back, Lois became the laundress. Whites, darks and light colors. She did a good job, too! I was working on the backing for the Rte 66 quilt. Used the smallest fat quarter to cut them all the same size. Then I finished up the scrap pieces into the same size. Now I have 12 fat quarters for the back of the quilt. I'll measure again, but I think I will still need some additional borders. Maybe I should work on the front layout, so I really know what size to make the back.
I fired up the grill out back. The ignitor wasn't working. Came in looking for some matches and just found a few in a drawer. POOF, it started. I had cleaned off the grate, but it really needed to burn off. I closed the lid and came back later to flames. Finally burnt off. Hamburgers tasted mighty good. carrots that keep trying to freeze and cauliflower along with sweet potato chips and beat chips. Lois was now packing clean clothes, new fabric and new clothes. She was deciding what to leave behind for me to bring home. There is now 2 bags, along with a pillow and winter coat. We went to the computer lab. She needed to check in for her flight and print a boarding pass. I used the time to post more to the blog. I can plug in directly in the computer lab. Still haven't heard from the wireless folks. I would think they would just stock those antennas. Oh, well, this works in the meantime. Think I'll ask for a week's refund, tho. Back home for some last minute primping up then off to the grocery store for brat buns. Went to visit Karen & Palmer (college friends-Poplar, WI). They were visiting Palmer's brother & sister in law. Partying already going on between 2 trailers. Brought along our wine bottle. Karen & Palmer had been looking at double wide's as possible winter home. They went to Las Vegas after they arrived on 3/1. Now back in the area. Had a great time with them and the neighbors. They are all from MN. They also go rock hunting and now have a cutter and polisher. She had some nice pieces. Back home and a little TV before we hit the hay.
